Ugandan singer Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, and Nsambya Hospital have reached a reconciliation agreement, bringing an end to the legal and public dispute that arose from a violent incident in November 2024.
The resolution, achieved through out-of-court negotiations, marks a step toward healing for both parties and highlights efforts to address the fallout from the chaotic events at the hospital.
The conflict originated on November 19, 2024, when Alien Skin and members of his Fangone Forest crew clashed with medical staff at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya in Kampala. The altercation was triggered by the death of Joram “Jerome” Tumwesigye, a member of Alien Skin’s team, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident.
According to reports, Tumwesigye was rushed to the hospital’s emergency department, where medical staff attempted to save his life. Despite their efforts, he passed away, leading to tensions between Alien Skin’s group and the hospital staff.

The situation escalated when Alien Skin and his associates reportedly demanded medical forms and access to Tumwesigye’s body, leading to a violent confrontation.
Dr. Zaidi Matovu, along with security guards Anthony Muyanda and Alex Odongo, were assaulted, sustaining injuries. The incident, captured on video and widely circulated online, sparked public outrage and legal action, with Alien Skin and his bodyguard, Julius Mugabi, facing charges of causing grievous harm.
Following Alien Skin’s arrest and subsequent remand to Luzira Prison, both parties engaged in negotiations to resolve the dispute outside the courts. On November 28, 2024, Alien Skin and Mugabi were granted bail by the Makindye Magistrates Court, with conditions including a cash bail of UGX 1 million and restrictions on interfering with the victims.
During this period, reports emerged that Alien Skin’s team was actively seeking forgiveness from Nsambya Hospital, with discussions facilitated by the Kampala Metropolitan Police.
By late November 2024, credible sources indicated that a resolution had been reached.
Nsambya Hospital, represented by Dr. Matovu and its administration, agreed to settle the matter amicably, with Alien Skin committing to repair damages caused during the incident and issue a public apology to the institution and its staff. This agreement was seen as a pragmatic move to avoid prolonged legal battles and restore goodwill, particularly given the hospital’s role as a critical healthcare provider and Alien Skin’s influence as a public figure.
A Doctor from Nsambya Hospital has since spoken out about the matter, saying they currently have no issues with Alien Skin.
He explained that they have held reconciliatory meetings with the singer and his parents and have made peace.
"As a hospital, we sat down and reconciled with the artist," he explained. "We agreed, and there are no more differences with him because he even came here with his parents."
