Ugandan music icon Moses Ssali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, announced the release of his second single, "Motivation," from his highly anticipated album Break The Chains.
The announcement came during a lively roundtable discussion with media personalities from NBS TV, NRG Radio, and Galaxy FM, where he also introduced his new initiative, "Motivation Week."
The single is set to drop on Friday, February 21, and will be available across all major streaming platforms, marking another milestone in Bebe Cool’s evolving musical journey.
"Motivation" follows the success of the album’s first single, "Circumference," which was released in December 2024 and showcased Bebe Cool’s venture into the globally celebrated Afrobeats genre.
Produced by Nigerian hitmaker PhilKeyz, known for collaborations with artists like Kizz Daniel, Circumference blended infectious Afrobeat rhythms with Bebe Cool’s signature Ugandan flair, earning praise for its polished, international sound.
With "Motivation," Bebe Cool promises to continue pushing boundaries, offering fans a fresh dose of inspiration wrapped in his innovative approach to music.
Speaking during the roundtable, Bebe Cool expressed his excitement about the new release and its significance within the Break The Chains project.
“It’s been a challenge to reimagine East Africa’s music scene, but change is inevitable. That’s the motivation behind the new sound with Break The Chains,” he shared in a post on X earlier this month.
He reiterated his commitment to setting a new standard for African music, emphasizing a pledge to bring a fresh approach to the industry and inspire the next generation of artists.
Bebe Cool has hinted that the track embodies the album’s broader themes of futurism, breaking conventional mindsets, and promoting collective progress among Africans.
“I chose the name Break The Chains because I want to break the deadlock, the mentality, the mindset, and the thinking that as Africans, everyone has to fight individually,” he explained in an earlier interview.
