Musician Big Eye Declares Ambition to Represent Nansana in Parliament
Ugandan musician Ibrahim Mayanja, popularly known as Big Eye, has officially thrown his hat into the political ring, revealing his intention to contest for the Nansana Municipality MP seat in the upcoming elections.
Big Eye expressed unwavering confidence in his qualifications and popularity, claiming he is the most suitable candidate for the position.

“Among all those eyeing the seat, I believe I stand out. I’m the most qualified and best placed to represent the people of Nansana. If you ask me, I’d say there’s an 80% chance that my party will endorse me because I have massive grassroots support,” he stated.
The singer further noted that his political ambitions stem from a genuine desire to address long standing issues that he feels have been neglected by the current leadership.
“There are several matters the sitting MP failed to tackle. I want to fill that gap, not just to hold office, but to actively champion change and stand firmly behind our party president in this political journey,” he added.
In the National Unity Platform (NUP) primaries, Big Eye is set to face stiff competition from notable figures, including incumbent MP Wakayima Musoke and renowned media personality Zambali Bulasio Mukasa, among others.
