
Bobi Wine has marked the 70th birthday of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II in a striking and symbolic way today by performing 70 push-ups during the Kabaka Birthday Run.
The event, held at Lubiri Palace in Kampala, drew over 120,000 participants despite a heavy morning downpour, making it Africa’s most populous run and a vibrant celebration of the Kabaka’s milestone.
Bobi Wine who is a prominent figure in Ugandan politics and a self-proclaimed loyal subject of the Buganda Kingdom, joined thousands across the World to honor the Kabaka.
“This is for Ssaabasajja Kabaka—70 years, 70 push-ups to celebrate his legacy,” Bobi Wine said
Bobi Wine’s 70 push-ups quickly became a talking point for social media users lauding his energy at 43 years old.
The Kabaka Birthday Run, now in its 12th year, raised funds for HIV/AIDS initiatives, with kit sales contributing to health programs across Buganda’s counties.
Bobi Wine made the push up's in England where they went for for a series of diaspora engagements together with the party Secretary General Lewis Rubongoya and the Party Spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi.
