Bobi Wine to Challenge Museveni Again, Confirms on NBS TV’s Popular Show

The National Unity President Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has officially confirmed his intention to run for president in Uganda’s 2026 general elections.
The singer who turned into politician confirmed during a highly anticipated appearance on NBS TV’s popular political show Barometer, hosted by Adam Kungu
Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu addressed a live audience and viewers across the nation, putting speculation about his political plans to an end.
“I am available for my party if they choose to entrust me as their flag bearer in 2026,” Kyagulanyi declared during the Barometer show.

Kyagulanyi is once again ready to challenge President Yoweri Museveni, who has been in power for over four decades.
During the discussion with Kungu, Bobi Wine emphasized that NUP is not merely an opposition force as some people think but a viable alternative to Museveni's government.
“We are not opposition; we are an option. We are not here for positions; we aim to take over the government,” he added.
Kyagulanyi went ahead and told viewers that NUP’s victory in Kawempe North is more than just a win as it proves how ready the partyt is to take on and remove President Museveni from Uganda’s topmost seat.
