Grammy-winning artist John Legend and his wife, model and television personality Chrissy Teigen, arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of his highly anticipated headline performance at the Move Afrika concert.
The couple touched down at Kigali International Airport, greeted by an air of excitement as fans and media awaited their arrival.

Scheduled to take the stage at BK Arena that same evening, Legend’s performance marks the second edition of the Move Afrika initiative, a groundbreaking pan-African music touring circuit organized by Global Citizen in partnership with Kendrick Lamar’s creative imprint.
The Kigali leg of the 2025 Move Afrika tour follows a successful debut in 2023 headlined by Kendrick Lamar, and this year expands to include Lagos, Nigeria, on February 25.
Legend expressed his enthusiasm, stating,
“I’m honored and excited to perform in Kigali and Lagos as part of the Move Afrika tour, an initiative that not only brings unforgettable shows but also creates entrepreneurship and job opportunities, empowering young people to engage with Africa’s growing music and creative industries.” He added, “Africa has always been a global cultural powerhouse, and it’s an honor to be part of the future of live music on the continent.”
