
Ugandan music icon Jose Chameleone has officially quit smoking and drinking following a serious health scare that left him hospitalized for months in the U.S. The Leone Island CEO recently shared the news during a press briefing after returning from a medical review in Kenya.
Chameleone revealed that he had struggled with addiction for most of his life but decided to change for the sake of his health after battling acute pancreatitis.
“I’ve spent years flipping bottles and smoking, but I had to put all that behind me, I don’t drink or smoke anymore, it’s about doing better for myself,” he said.

To mark his return and recovery, Chameleone held a Thanksgiving Mass with loved ones at St. Joseph Lweza Church. Reflecting on his faith.
“Before the doctors did anything, God had already started healing me. I’m a believer, and I want people to know I put God first.” he added,
