Mityana District Woman MP Joyce Bagala Ntwatwa has taken a firm stand against the National Unity Platform's (NUP) 30-day ultimatum issued to MPs labeled as 'rebels,' declaring she has nothing to apologize for.
According to Bagala, she has committed no wrong and remains fully loyal to the party. She emphasized that her commitment to NUP’s mission goes far beyond mere appearances at the party’s headquarters.
"I'm a committed member of the National Unity Platform. I continue to engage in party activities and advocate for its values, even if I don’t physically report to the headquarters. There’s no guilt on my part. I’ve always been involved, whether through mobilizing communities, raising awareness, or standing against dictatorship. Being part of the struggle doesn't require you to sit in an office." Bagala stated.

She challenged critics to point out any instance where she has failed to contribute to the party’s goals, stressing that true activism happens on the ground, among the people.
Bagala further urged NUP leadership to shift focus toward the bigger fight thats opposing President Museveni's regime rather than policing MPs who may differ in approach but remain aligned in purpose.
