Ugandan singer Nina Roz has officially closed the chapter on her past relationship with fellow musician and producer Daddy Andre. Speaking during a recent radio interview, Nina made it clear she has moved on emotionally and romantically, and there’s no turning back.
"I can never go back. I moved on and I am concentrating on the person I am in love with at the moment. I don't always move back after going forward," she explained in an interview with a local radio.
Nina Roz and Daddy Andre were once one of the most talked-about celebrity couples in Uganda. Their relationship seemed serious, even leading to a kukyala (traditional pre-introduction ceremony) at Nina’s family home in October 2020. But just months later, the romance fizzled out.
Despite the breakup, Nina holds no grudge. She still appreciates Daddy Andre professionally, praising him as a talented songwriter and producer.
“I’ve got nothing against him. I respect his craft, and that’s all there is to it,” she added.
Now, Nina says she’s in a better space, emotionally grounded and focused on her new love and personal growth.
“I don’t want to return to the dark days,” she said, hinting that her past relationship came with challenges she’s happy to leave behind.
