Ugandan sensation singer Nina Roz has stirred the pot with a bold response to a social media user, hinting at a potential run for Member of Parliament (MP) amid a heated online exchange.

The artist’s clapback came after a user, Godfrey Kuteesa, advised her to focus on personal milestones like marriage and motherhood rather than political aspirations, following her recent run-in with police over a blocked meeting with her supporters.
In a post on X, Kuteesa wrote, “Focus on your recovery. Get married. Have children. And leave elective politics alone.”
Nina Roz, never one to shy away from a challenge, shot back with defiance.
“Dear Godfrey, healing doesn’t disqualify me. Women don’t have to shrink into marriage and motherhood to be valid. I’ll lead, I’ll rise, and I’ll run whether it makes you uncomfortable or not! This country needs bold voices, not outdated advice. see you at the ballot!”
The exchange has set social media ablaze, with fans and critics weighing in on Nina Roz’s fiery response and her apparent interest in politics. The artist, known for her outspoken nature and advocacy for youth and women empowerment officially confirmed a candidacy to run as a Woman Member of Parliament in Ssembabule District under the National Unity Platform headed by fellow musician who turned into politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu populary known as Bobi Wine.
