Rapper Sean Kingston and Mom Found Guilty in $1M Fraud Scheme, Sentenced 20 years in Prison

Rapper Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, were found guilty on all counts in a federal wire fraud trial.
The singer and his mother were involved in a scheme that defrauded businesses of over $1 million in luxury goods.
The “Beautiful Girls” singer and his mother are to face potentially decades in prison.
Prosecutors accused the pair of orchestrating an elaborate scheme between April 2023 and March 2024 where they used fraudulent documents and fake wire transfers to acquire high-end items such as jewelry, a bulletproof Cadillac Escalade and many more with a total value of the goods over $1 million.

Kingston was emotional, wiping tears and pleaded to U.S. Marshals to protect his mother, his mother was taken into federal custody.
Kingston was placed on house arrest with electronic monitoring and required to post a $500,000 home bond and $200,000 in cash.
The pair will each carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
