Ronald Mayinja Dismisses Bobi Wine’s Leadership Potential, Says NUP Lacks Discipline

Musician Ronald Mayinja has distanced himself from the National Unity Platform (NUP), expressing strong doubts about the party's ability to lead Uganda.
Once a supporter of NUP and its leader Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, Mayinja now says he no longer aligns with the party's direction or values. According to him, the party is plagued by what he calls moral decay, aggressive rhetoric, and a lack of tolerance.
"I don’t believe they’re prepared to govern this country, I doubt they ever will be," They are constantly attacking others, including respected institutions like the Buganda Kingdom. Their conduct does more harm than good." Mayinja said.

The veteran singer criticized the party's approach, claiming it alienates potential supporters and undermines its chances of ever attaining national leadership.
Mayinja praised President Yoweri Museveni, describing him as a unifying leader who accommodates differing views and maintains peace.
“Museveni has shown the maturity and openness to engage even with his critics. He remains a symbol of stability in this country,” he stated.
