Southampton Show Juric the Door After Premier League Relegation Confirmed

Southampton Football Club has parted ways with manager Ivan Juric just one day after the team’s relegation from the Premier League was confirmed.
The decision comes after a dismal 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, which left the Saints rooted to the bottom of the table with only 10 points from 31 matches, 22 points adrift of safety with just seven games remaining.
Juric, who took over from Russell Martin in December 2024, managed the club for just 107 days, overseeing 14 Premier League matches with a record of one win, one draw, and 12 losses.
His sole league victory came in February against Ipswich Town, but it proved insufficient to turn around a season plagued by defensive frailties and a lack of firepower. Southampton’s relegation was sealed with a record-breaking seven games to spare, surpassing the previous mark set by Derby County and Ipswich Town, who were relegated with six games left in their respective seasons.
