Ugandan singer Zanie Brown has pulled back the curtain on the lesser-seen side of the music world, speaking candidly about the spiritual warfare many artists face behind the spotlight. In a recent YouTube interview, the songstress revealed that beneath the surface of fame and glamour lies a world influenced by dark spiritual forces.
Brown, who grew up in a devout Christian family, shared that her upbringing was grounded in faith. “I was raised in the church. My father never turned to shrines or traditional healers—we depended solely on God. That was the environment I knew,” she said.

But things changed dramatically when she entered the entertainment industry. Zanie recalled a personal encounter with what she described as a spiritual attack. “There was a moment I had to cry out to God and ask Him to intervene in my life—and thankfully, He did,” she shared.
The singer claimed that spiritual manipulation, including practices like witchcraft and "star exchange"
“To succeed in this industry, you must be spiritually grounded, if you are not praying, you are likely engaging in spiritual practices that are not of God. There’s no neutral ground.” she added.
Zanie warned that those who rely on dark forces may appear to prosper but at a spiritual cost.
